It starts with an unforgettable Virtual Summit to kick-off the program, hosted by the Believe Team. Here we get to listen to Sarah’s keynote, interact with other Believe Ambassadors during a pep rally and are introduced to the concept of a Passion Project. This is where students take a passion they have, and a problem they want to solve, and use that passion to solve that problem. Through workshops and interactive activities, students discover what their passions are and how they can apply them.
In Step 2, teachers and students gain access to our Believe Curriculum, tied to Ministry of Education guidelines, where they will learn the skills and tools needed to build out their passion projects. The curriculum is located on an online portal that can be accessed by teachers and/or students. The teacher-facing portal contains the resources needed to teach lessons virtually or in-person. The student-facing portal is easy to navigate and allows students to guide themselves with the help of videos from Sarah Wells instructing the lessons.
Curriculum Portal Includes:
Then finally, in Step 3, students, teachers, school board employees, family and friends, can attend a virtual Inspiration Fair to celebrate all the Passion Projects – Envision a science fair of inspirational projects. This will be where students showcase their projects and share the outcomes the process has had on their resilience and self-belief as an individual.
